Changsha Foton Vehicle Technology Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd. Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd. was founded in 1996 and is a state-owned holding company with different types of ownerships and a company listed in the stock exchange market. Now, it has a total asset of 1 billion USD and about 28000 employees. Its business operation extends to various regions and sectors. As the largest-scale of commercial vehicle manufacturer with the most complete types in China, Foton possesses the brands of Forland, Auman, AUV, View, Saga, Aumark, Ollin, Sup and Mpx.

In 1999, the sales volume of light duty truck was No.1 and we hold the position now. In 2008, Foton sold 351,200 units of commercial vehicles with sales revenue of 3.8 billion USD. Now, Foton has become the first brand of Chinese commercial vehicle with 1.7 billion USD brand value and was awarded the CCTV My Favorite Chinese Brand in 2005.

In the process of fast developing, Foton pays attention to technology introduction and upgrade and always insists that technology creates value in order to make truck having a powerful and stable "heart". In 2008, Foton established Cummins Engine Company Limited (BFCEC) to produce Cummins diesel engines used in light-duty and heavy duty trucks in Beijing. In January of 2009, Foton signed the cooperation agreement with Daimler AG, the world's commercial vehicle giant, for sharing the technology and manufacturing heavy trucks mutually with a total investment of 6.35 billion Yuan ($882 million).

Changsha Foton Vehicle Technology Co., Ltd. was established in 1999 and is the largest and most important strategically base of Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd. in south of China. We integrate R&D, manufacturing, selling and service. Changsha plant has 2200 employees and an annual production capacity of 100 thousand units. In 2008, Foton Changsha sold 70032 units and the sales revenue was 45 million USD. We are engaged in series of mini, light, medium and heavy-duty trucks and complete type dump trucks with the brand of FORLAND. Changsha plant has been developing rapidly and got very good market share all over China. We export products to many overseas countries and regions, such as Vietnam, Burma Indonesia, Syria, Mexico, Iraq, Iran, Madagascar, Ethiopia, Egypt and Colombia. Until now, Changsha plant has 2 KD factories in Vietnam and Indonesia respectively in order to realize localization and increase competitive ability.

According to the strategy of Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd., Foton now operates overseas business with two main brands (FOTON and FORLAND). Forland is for series of trucks of low and middle markets and Foton is for SUV, pick ups and buses.
